Institute for Biodiversity conservation and Training is pleased to announce online certificate course in “Bat taxonomy and acoustic studies”. The course will be delivered online (Live) on 08 November 2020. In this course, the participants will be introduced to taxonomy of Bats in Western Ghats, regional echobank and analysis of echolocation calls.

Students pursuing Bachelor's, Master Degree, M.Phil., Ph.D., Research Scholars, Researchers, Scientists who are working on small mammals and Bio-acoustics can benefit from the course. Experienced and would like enhance knowledge can also apply.

1. Bat studies: past, present and future
2. Taxonomy of Western Ghats bats
3. Analyzing echolocation calls and species level identification.
4. Familiarizing useful software’s for bat acoustic studies

Selection of Candidates:
This course accepts 25 students based on first come first serve basis. The selected candidates will be notified by email and are required pay course fee within 3 calendar days from the date of notification. The participation will be confirmed after we receive the course fee.

Course timings:
The course will commence at 10:00 AM and expected to complete by 18:00 pm.

What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course is Rs. 2,000.00 (Rupees two thousand only). The fee covers the lectures, hands-on training, certificate, course material, and data sets.

What will I get?
Upon successful completion of the course the candidates will receive Certificate.

Attendance to all the sessions are mandatory.

Pre-requisites:
Laptop with camera, Good quality internet connection (4G) and headset with Mic.
