Institute for Biodiversity conservation and Training is pleased to announce Certificate course on Remote Sensing and Image processing using QGIS and Google Earth Engine (Hands-On training). The course will be held between 17th - 19th May 2019 in Bangalore.
In this course, the participants will be equipped with the following:
1. Fundamentals of Remote Sensing
2. Fundamentals of Digital Image Processing
3. Time-series analysis in QGIS (LULC).
4. Introduction to Google Earth Engine.
5. Time-series analysis Google Earth Engine.
6. Derivation of indices such as NDVI, NDBI etc..
7. Free time-series anlaysis Google Earth Engine codes
What is Remote Sensing ?
Remote sensing is the process of detecting and monitoring the physical characteristics of an area by measuring its reflected and emitted radiation at a distance from the targeted area.
By the end of the course the candidates will be familiar with Fundamentals of Remote sensing, Digital image processing, Time-series land use land cover change analysis, using open source softwares and Google Earth Engine.
Upon completion of this course candidates will be able to able quickly publish paper in reputed journals/thesis.

Selection of Candidates:
This course accepts 25 students based on first come first serve basis and relevance of the course. The selected candidates will be notified by email and are required pay within 5 calendar days from the date of selection.

The course will commence at 9:00 am and expected to complete by 5:30 pm everyday.
What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course is Rs.3,540.00 (Rupees three thousand five hundred and forty only) payable online on or before deadline (selected candidates only). The fee covers the lectures, the course material, free data sets, lunch and cookies over beverages.
What will I get?
Upon successful completion of this course the candidates will receive Certificate.
Attendance to all the sessions are mandatory.
